Concept

YAO is a set of fine gold wire earrings that spell my name — each letter bent as a single continuous loop. I wanted to see the piece worn and in motion, so I treated it as a small character film rather than a static product shot.

Earring

I modeled each letter in Rhino, drawing the strokes as continuous curves and piping them into thin gold wire so the forms read cleanly from every angle.

Character Design

To keep the look consistent before generating any motion, I designed a character turnaround — side, front, and back — pinning down the hair, the pose, and how the earrings sit and catch light across each view.

Motion

I generated the film with Google Flow, directing it from the turnaround so the earrings stay on-model as the figure moves and the wire letters swing and catch the light.
